Sekiei Ayakashi Mangatan – 01

February 23rd, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

Yet another short webshow. Read more about it on AniDB and MAL

Yes, the video quality is pretty bad, but that’s due to the source being absolutely horrible (Sorenson Spark for a video codec, and 1ch MP3 for audio? wtf is this shit). I ended up re-encoding it for better compatibility and dual-mono audio.

I’ll probably end up v2ing this in the final batch, so if anyone comes across any errors, feel free to let me know in the comments section.

Episode 2 is currently in the hands of a new TL recruit, so it’ll probably be out sometime next week.

Feel free to comment/complain/critique in the comments, and be sure to check the “Notices” section on the right!

Really enjoyed this one and look forward to your batch torrent…a mini that will be re-watched by me. Arigato!

I must apologize for the delays that this show has/will be facing. Episode 2 was given to a potential translator recruit a couple of weeks ago, but I have yet to hear back from him. I’m guessing that the somewhat wordy dialog scared him away.
Due to real-life obligations that both myself and the translator have to deal with, the final two episodes probably won’t be out for a few more weeks. 🙁

Not a problem as real life always takes priority…I look forward to said release when you have time to get to them. I read the mini series is based on a manga or was it a light novel? Anyway, too bad we only get three shorts…better than nothing though.

Mangatan is actually a weekly (or maybe bi-weekly) web manga published online over at Web Young Jump. While most of the new chapters are free to read, older chapters have been taken down. You might be able to find Volume scans for the older chapters online.
However, it would be good to note that anime shorts streamed by Web Young Jump (Kaichu! and Mangatan) are totally new stories (ie: the anime doesn’t follow the manga).
