Fall 2015 Plans

October 2nd, 2015 11 comments

Guess I’ll do one of these.

SuzakiNishi is stalled at Sliderbreak. Been poking them about it, and they say Soon, so…

Fall 2015:
Diabolik Lovers S2: S2, didn’t do S1, etc.
Miss Monochrome S3: S3, didn’t do S1-S2, etc.
Hacka Doll the Animation: Go with GJM.
Kagewani: Joint with WhyNot. We’ll be waiting for the Sunday BS11 airings since the CR simulcast is bitrate starved to hell, and MX is >MX.
Itoshi no Muco (S3): Normally I’d say “>DLE shit”, but this is a very different show for them. I’ve been planning on doing the first two seasons by DogaKobo for a loooong time, so I’ll probably do S3 if nobody else does.
Kowabon: Not a fan of rotoscoping, so no.
Onsen Yousei Hakone-chan: Go with Mori or CR.
Ameiro Cocoa S2: Didn’t do S1, so no.
Komori-san wa Kotowarenai!: Go with Asenshi.
Oshiri Kajiri Mushi 4: Go with Commie.
JK Meshi!: Go with Kaitou.
Teekyuu 6: Go with Commie.
Tantei Team KZ: Probably not.
Fushigi na Somera-chan: Go with Orpheus.
Ketsuekigata-kun! 3: Translator is taking his sweet-ass time on S2, so not anytime soon!
Ani Tore! EX: Go with Asenshi.

Summer 2015 Plans

July 1st, 2015 11 comments

Apparently there are a bunch of shorts airing this season, but I have too much of a backlog to consider picking up any. We’ll see but, like usual, take everything below with a grain of salt.

Summer 2015:
Okusama ga Seito Kaichou!: DDY’s got it covered.
Hetalia: The World Twinkle: Didn’t watch much of the previous seasons, so no.
Miss Monochrome 2: Didn’t do S1, so no.
Wooser no Sono Higurashi: Mugen-hen: Didn’t do S1 or S2, so no.
Wakaba Girl: Go with Mori/CR.
Wakako-zake: Go with Mori.
Q Transformers 2: Didn’t do S1, and DLE a shit, so no.
Teekyuu 5: Go with Commie/CR.
Million Doll: Sign-fest and it’ll probably have a bunch of songs that’ll need to be translated, so no.
Kaijuu Sakaba Kanpai!: DLE a shit, so no.
Bikini Warriors: Go with Commie.
SuzakiNishi THE ANIMATION: Joint with Sliderbreak!
Danchigai: Go with GJM.
Makura no Danshi: Nope. Not what I expected.

Spring 2015 Plans & Updates

April 1st, 2015 18 comments

So yeah, we’ve been pretty much dead this past season. I’ve just been way too preoccupied with work and other real life obligations to get any subbing done.
Here’s some of the shorts airing this coming season. Considering how dead we’ve been, take any plans with a grain of salt:

Winter 2014:
Falcom Gakuen S2: All episodes capped and encoded. Translator hasn’t made it over the hump that is the first couple of episodes yet. Hopefully we’ll see some soon.
Ketsuekigata-kun S2: All episodes capped and encoded. Translator finally finished up the rest of S1, so hopefully he’ll start work on S2 soon.
Doamaiger D: Most episodes have been capped and encoded (13 airs on Sunday). Been in contact with a translator who really likes the show, so it has a good chance of being finished/worked on first.

Spring 2015:
Danna ga Nani S2: Yes, joint with Chyuu again.
Vampire Holmes: Kaitou’s got it covered.
Ameiro Cocoa: Go with Mori.
Kakusen-kun S2: Nope.
Teekyuu S4: Go with CR/Commie.
Takamiya Nasuno Desu!: Go with CR/Commie.
Urawa no Usagi-chan: Kaitou’s got it.

Oh, and apparently we turned 4 years old in February. Yep, late for our own birthday.

Winter 2014 Plans

December 30th, 2014 12 comments

I need more free time.

Winter 2014 Shorts:
Minna Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen SC: Probably, but the translator is still kinda iffy about it.
Doamaiger D: From the studio behind Yami Shibai (Studio ILCA). Looks kinda interesting, so I might do it if only CR does it. Update: I don’t get any of the stations this show airs on, and I have no translator lined up, so it’s a no-go. I’ll reconsider if it ever airs on a station I get. Update 2: Someone has provided me with transport streams for all currently-aired episodes, and an interested translator has already begun work on it, so it’s back on!
Q Transformers: DLE short, so nope.
Military!: The Dreamcreation short for the season. Go with Kaitou.
Ketsuekigata-kun! 2: The translator has finally resumed work on the second half of S1, so he might be up for S2. Dunno, we’ll see.
Pankis! 2 Jigen: Another DLE short, so nope.

Have I mentioned that I need more free time?

Summer 2014 Batches & Updates

October 31st, 2014 5 comments

So, after watching Bonjour Episode 3, I’ve decided to not pick it up.
Rather focus my time on the backlog and unsubbed shows instead.

Here’s batches for my Summer 2014 shows. Feels good to unload 100 torrents from my client.

Ai Mai Mi ~Mousou Catastrophe~:
Download: 720p 10bit480p 8bit
Changes: None.
BD/DVD?: We’ll do the BD-only Ep13. Rest of the series will depend on the BD quality and OP scans.

Minna Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen:
Download: 720p 10bit480p 8bit
Changes: Ep8 (fixed CRCs, just rename your files), Ep13 (corrected translation)
BD/DVD?: No disc release has been announced yet. Season 2 will air next year.

Sin Strange+:
Download: 720p 10bit480p 8bit
Changes: None.
BD/DVD?: We’ll do the BD-only Ep13. Rest of the series will depend on the BD quality.

Yami Shibai 2:
Download: 720p 10bit480p 8bit
Changes: Various (1-3, 5, 6, 9). We weren’t able to find official lyrics for the ED, so it will remain unsubbed.
Patches: 720p 10bit480p 8bit
BD/DVD?: DVD-only like S1. Unless there’s a bonus episode, we won’t pick it up.

Fall 2014 Plans

Looks like there isn’t much going on. Like usual, nothing is final until we’ve started releasing.

Fall 2014 Shorts:
Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken: Joint with Chyuu. Ep1 is an original translation since CR was late. Ep2+ will be based on CR’s script.
Ai Tenchi Muyo!: I never saw the original series, so it’s a no-go.
Orenchi no Furo Jijou: The BS11 short of the season (hopefully this becomes a thing). Go with Kaylith.
Narihero www: Another 3D CGI discussion-heavy show. Not really interested.
Hi Schoool! Seha Girl: Another 3D CGI discussion-heavy show. Not really interested.
Bonjour: Koiaji Patisserie: Seems unlikely that others will pick this up, so maybe. The NicoNico stream should be easy enough to rip, but Hulu and NTV VOD might have better video quality.

CR picked up Danna and Orenchi. Bonjour is a bit iffy since it’s a webstream-only short.
Guess I should focus on the backlog. (How many times have I said that already? Ha!)
Oh, and I have to say, that poll is a lot closer than I thought it would be.

Summer 2014 Plans

June 30th, 2014 8 comments

So yeah, this past season was pretty bad on my end. New job does that to ya.
Anyway, here are next season’s shorts and our plans (don’t act too surprised):

Summer 2014 Shorts:
Gundam-san: I haven’t seen many most Gundam series, so probably not.
Maido! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku (S2): I haven’t seen S1, so I’d probably only pick this up if only CR does this.
Francesca: Only airs on one station that I don’t get, so probably a no-go.
Yami Shibai S2: Yep, joint with WhyNot again.
Himegoto: Lots of groups (and probably CR) plan on doing this, so I’ll pass.
Ai Mai Mi S2: Yep. I don’t get AT-X HD, so if CR simulcasts on Tuesdays with bad video, releases will be on Thursdays.
Yama no Susume S2: Didn’t do S1, so go with CR/Commie.
Strange+ S2: Yep.
Minarai Diva: Not sure if this’ll be a short, but it seems like it’ll be one of those 3D-CGI discussion shows, ala gdgd and Straight Title Robot Anime, so we probably won’t be doing it.
Nyanpuku Nyaruma: More Kachidoki. Don’t get KTV, so no-go.

So yeah, just a few S2s. Let’s see how far behind I get.

As for other projects, only stuff moving is Falcom, Momon-chan S2, Dibetagurashi, and Chiisana Ojisan. You can check the specific status of episodes in the sidebar —–>

We’re still alive and doing some work behind the scenes (encoding and translation).
I’ve personally been super preoccupied with some real-life stuff, so I haven’t had much time to QC the few episodes that are close to release.

Stay tuned!

Winter 2013 Batches & News

April 2nd, 2014 1 comment

Strange+: 720p Hi10P480p H264
Changes: 01v2 (new encode & added karaoke)
Blu-Ray: All other corrections will be applied to the BD release. The BD will also include a bonus episode.

Ai Mai Mi: 720p Hi10P480p H264
Changes: none
Blu-Ray: Due out in roughly 2 months. All corrections will be applied to the BD release. Just wanted to batch TV so I could stop seeding individual files.

Other News

Momon-chan Season 2 (titled “Momon’s Sand Witch”) started streaming last month with an “Episode 0”. Of course, we’ll be picking it up, but I waited to see if they were going to have any sort of schedule. Episode 1 streamed yesterday, and they note that Episode 2 will stream on the 16th, so I guess it’s going to be every two weeks now.

It appears that Dibetagurashi has ended at Ep38 (Syoboi is reporting 39 episodes, but I’m pretty sure that their Ep32 posting is actually a reair of an earlier episode), so we’ll try to play catchup with that.

Spring 2014 Picks: Besides Momon-chan, I haven’t decided yet.
Summer 2014 Picks: Ai Mai Mi S2, Strange+ S2, Yami Shibai S2

Spring 2014 Plans

March 18th, 2014 10 comments

It’s that time of the year again. I kinda want to focus on backlog/older shows, so I dunno if I’ll be picking up anything this season. Still, here’s a list of shorts.

Spring 2014 Shorts:
Momon-chan S2: Of course!
Washimo: Not really my kind of show.
Nandaka Velonica: naisho’s got it covered.
Keroro: TacoCat’s got it covered.
Puchimas S2: Chibiki/UTW has it covered.
Gigant Shooter Tsukasa: Another card-game show, so probably not, but who knows.
KutsuDaru: Seemed okay to me, but I don’t know if I want to sub it.
Kantoku Fuyuki Todoki: DLE shows almost always have crazy dialog, so probably not.
Meshimase Lodoss-tou Senki Sorette Oishii no?: Seemed fun, but I’m not sure how much Lodoss knowledge is necessary for the show.
Oreca Battle & Dragon Collection: Not my kinds of shows.
Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to: Go with Crunchyroll or Doki.
Mahou Shoujo Taisen: Watashi’s got it covered.
Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san: Kaylith’s got it covered.
