And here are the long-delayed batches for Shiba Inuko-san and PES!
Only change I made to Shiba is a new encode (and a couple of minor edits) to episode 12, since the original release was just muxed to a webstream raw. Unfortunately, I won’t be releasing a 10bit batch for Shiba due to transport streams missing for episodes 22 and 23.
PES sees some nice filtered 720p 10bit encodes, courtesy of mep from Stardust Fansubs.
Since CR is picking up a bunch of shows that I had my eyes on, and since Chiisana Ojisan seems to be airing on an inconsistent schedule (Episode 1 was re-aired this week, so Episode 3 next week I guess?), I’ll be focusing on my backlog this season.
Enjoy!
PS: The Shiba Inuko-san special that aired on 9/30 had no animated parts (besides part of the OP sequence). It was basically a commercial for some Fighting DVD Collection.
Shiba Inuko-san:
720p — 480p
PES:
720p (10bit) — 720p (8bit) — 480p
Shokupan Mimi (Re-batch to include Episode 16):
400p
Episode 15 was streamed 4 months ago, so I thought this show was over, but apparently not.
Just another short 4-liner song episode to promote the DVDs.
Don’t know if there are going to be any more. Guess I’ll just have to keep checking to see.

This took WAY longer than it should have.
There really isn’t much to say about the show itself. Each episode is just a 30 second short about the daily life of a piece of bread named Mimi, and some of her friends and family. AniDB — MAL
For those curious about the resolution, I had to find a good middle ground between the episodes with good video sources, and those with bad video sources. While I was fortunate to find a transport stream for one episode (ep7), I had to make use of webstreams of various quality for the rest of the episodes, and they all had various problems that I tried to address (lots of ghosting in 1-6, video artifacts and ear-cancer audio in 8-10, lots of combing in 15).
Anyway, enjoy the show! Be sure to check the “Notices” section as well!
I’ll get the next two Kobato Specials out this week, followed by Ayakashi Mangatan this weekend.
